Mateo is a Spokane native and is happy to call it home. In his free time he loves to work out, drink coffee, drive around in his truck, listen to podcasts, hike & hunt the PNW, and play with his dog Millie.
Mateo is the embodiment of the word Rogue.
One who follows their own rules; one who lives out of the ordinary; one who behaves in ways that are unexpected.
He is the product of the classic “construction worker turned hair stylist”. Oh wait, that’s not a thing?! Mateo knew he didn't want to work construction forever but it wasn't until he watched a show called “Blowout”, about a guy who was a hairdresser in Hollywood, that he realized his new path. He began his journey in 2006 at a local salon where he trained in depth to learn the fundamentals of proper hair cutting, coloring and the perfect consultation.

Mateo, a lifelong learner, is always seeking advanced education opportunities. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Balayage and serves as a Lead Ambassador. His past experience as an educator for Kevin Murphy has honed his styling skills and allowed him to stay updated with new trends each season. This background fuels his passion for set work on photo and video shoots locally.

Meet Lucia
Co-Owner & Stylist
Lucia is a born and raised Spokane girl & loves her city. She loves to spend time with her husband, Mateo, and family. In her free time she likes to plan and organize, shop and vacation in Disney.
Lucia dreamt of doing hair since she was a little girl.
In high school she began her career in the industry as a “Saturday Girl”, cleaning, stocking, sweeping and shadowing at a local salon. She quickly moved into reception and inventory management for the next 4 years while attending Whitworth University. After graduating from college she decided it was time to make her dream a reality. Lucia attended Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy in Coeur D’Alene in 2010 and began her career as soon as she graduated.
Passions
Lucia is a glutton for advanced education and loves learning new techniques, technologies, and all things hair! She is also a product junkie and loves to teach everyone how to choose products for their specific needs.

She specializes in soft, natural, believable color and customized haircuts with detailed texturizing for each persons style and hair type. You can trust that you are in the hands of a perfectionist when you sit in her chair.
Meet Dani
Stylist
Born and raised in Spokane seems to be a theme at Rooted and Rogue!! And that’s Dani too! She loves all the activities the area has to offer: camping, snowboarding, boating, mountain biking and jeeping!!
Dani knew she wanted to be a hairdresser at a young age. She considers hair a form of art, not just a job. Pottery and drawing were an outlet until she started the Beauty School program at the Spokane Skills Center her senior year in high school. After beauty school, she furthered her education through an apprenticeship program. Now, 20+ years in this industry, she still continues to educate and share her knowledge with clients and fellow hairdressers.

Meet lauren
Stylist
Lauren is a Spokane native like the rest of the Rooted & Rogue team! She loves summer time (except for the bees!) and to paint and draw. One fun fact about Lauren is she can write upside down! In her free time she loves to hangout with her two kittens Muffins and Binx.
Lauren has always dreamed of becoming a hairdresser, but it wasn't until Covid hit during her senior year of high school that she finally decided to pursue it. She took a year to figure out her plan, and in 2021, she enrolled at Paul Mitchell the School. A year later, she proudly graduated, and now she's excited to see what the future holds

Lauren specializes in lived in blonde, all over color and styling! She loves to create a natural blonde to fit each client.
Meet Madison
Stylist
Although Madison has lived in 6 different states, Spokane is home for her and her family! As a detail oriented stylist, Madison loves to listen to her clients well and brighten their day with an incredible new look!
Madison's warm personality and attentive approach make her an ideal stylist for those looking for a personalized and thoughtful salon experience. She finds immense joy in transforming her clients' hair, knowing that a great style can boost confidence and brighten someone's day. When she's not behind the chair, Madison loves spending time with her fiancé, her family, and her cat Chloe (who she calls Mou Mou). If she's not enjoying the great outdoors you may find her sipping coffee, watercolor painting, or playing a board game.

Madison is passionate about investing in the lives of others, both in and out of the salon. Her dedication to staying current with trends ensures that her clients always receive the best care. She also has a heart for working with troubled kids, having spent several years as a foster care camp counselor.

Madison specializes in dimensional blondes and brondes, as well as long, luxurious locks. She also offers scalp and hair treatments tailored to give clients a refreshing boost.
